As part of its work in offering relief and help to those affected by the crisis in Syria, St. Ephrem Patriarchal Development Committee (EPDC) distributes on a regular basis parcels of food and other items to those who register their names in the committee.
His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II visited one of the headquarters of EPDC in Haret El-Zeytoun, in Bab Sharqi – Damascus to inspect the distribution of help and parcels for the needy.
During his visit to the headquarters, he met with the families and individuals who are receiving help and listened to their feedback on the procedure adopted by the Committee and the way it operates. He also inspected the quality of the items distributed and the registration and distribution processes followed by the staff.
His Eminence Mor Timotheos Matta Al-Khoury, Patriarchal Secretary, and His Grace Mor Maurice Amsih, Director of Public Relations, accompanied His Holiness during this inspection visit.
