Upon the invitation of His Eminence Archbishop Yezras Nersissian, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II visited the headquarters of the Armenian Diocese of New Nakhichevan and Russia in Moscow.
He was accompanied by their Eminences Mor Severius Hawa, Archbishop of Baghdad and Basra, Mor Philoxenus Yusuf Cetin, Patriarchal Vicar in Istanbul and Ankara, Mor Dionysius Jean Kawak, Patriarchal Assistant, Mor Nicodemus Daoud Sharaf, Archbishop of Mosul, Kurdistan and Environs, Very Rev. Raban Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director, and Very Rev. Raban Roger-Youssef Akhrass, Director of Syriac Studies.
His Holiness was welcomed at the Cathedral of the Transfiguration where he offered prayers of thanksgiving. His Eminence Archbishop Yezras then gave His Holiness and the accompanying delegation a tour in the museum which hosts an exhibition on the 1915 Genocide.
A special dinner was organized in honor of His Holiness and the accompanying delegation.
