Inauguration of “Little Angel House” Orphanage

His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II inaugurated the new Orphanage “Little Angel House” at Mor Aphrem Monastery in Maarat Saydnaya. Her Excellency Syrian Minister of Social Affairs Dr. Rima AL-Qadri was also present and participated in the opening of the “Little Angel House”.
After the cutting of the ribbon, His Holiness conducted the prayer of the consecration of the new house. The nuns in charge of the orphanage then introduced their guests to the different parts of the “Little Angel House.
The inauguration ceremony was followed by a recital where the children of the “Little Angel House” chanted some hymns and songs.
After the recital, Her Excellency was given a short overview of the work of St. Ephrem Patriarchal Development Committee (EPDC) and the different projects they are executing in Syria.
The inauguration ceremony was also attended by their Eminences Mor Justinus Boulos Safar, Patriarchal Vicar in Zahleh and Beqaa, Mor Philoxenus Mattias Nayis, Patriarchal Vicar in Germany, Mor Polycarpus Augin Aydin, Patriarchal Vicar in the Netherlands, Mor Chrysostomos Miikhael Shemoun, Patriarchal Vicar in the Patriarchal Benevolent Institutions in Atchaneh, Mor Timotheos Matta Al-Khoury, Patriarchal Secretary, Mor Timotheos Matthew, Patriarchal Secretary for Indian Affairs, and His Grace Bishop Mor Georges Kourieh, Dean of Mor Aphrem Theological Seminary in Maarat Saydnaya as well as many clergy from Maarat Saydnaya and Saydnaya.
