His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II met with His Beatitude Greek Orthodox Patriarch John X and Mr Nicolas Michel, Chief Adviser to UN Special Envoy to Syria Mr. Staffan De Mistura on Political and Legal Issues, at the Patriarchal Residence in Balamand.
The meeting was also attended by Mr. Antoine Lahham, Assistant to the UN Special Envoy to Syria, Rev. Fr. Parthenios and Rev. Raban Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director.
His Holiness and His Beatitude discussed the current situation in Syria with Mr. Michel.
They also spoke about the special role of religious communities in the reconciliation as well as in the peace process in Syria.
