His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II celebrated the Holy Qurobo at St. George Church in Campo Grande – Brazil.
He was assisted by their Eminences Mor Titus Boulos Touza, Syriac Orthodox Apostolic Nuncio in Brazil, and Mor Selwanos Boutros Al-Nehmeh, Archbishop of Homs, Hama and Environs.
In his sermon, His Holiness spoke about the consecration of the Church and how believer with strong faith are the stones with which the house of the Lord is preserved and kept alive. He told the faithful that they should work together and intensely to promote and develop the Syriac Community in Campo Grande.
At the end of the Holy Qurobo, Very Rev. Fr. Antonio Nakkoud welcomed His Holiness and read a poem he authored in honor for His Holiness. In turn, His Holiness offered Very Rev. Fr. Antonio Nakkoud a gift in appreciation of his years of service with dedication and zeal.
