His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II received a delegation from the Institute of the Arab World, at the Patriarchal Residence in Atchaneh, Lebanon.
The meeting was attended by Very Rev. Raban Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director, and Very Rev. Raban Roger-Youssef Akhrass, Director of the Syriac Studies.
The delegation introduced their work to His Holiness, especially with regards to the restoration of manuscripts and their preservation.
In turn, His Holiness explained the different stages that have been accomplished with regards to the patriarchal manuscripts collection. He hoped that the institute can cooperate with the patriarchate to better digitize and preserve the documents and manuscripts that are historical and valuable to the world patrimony.
