His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II attended an official reception organized by the Catholic Bishops Conference at Max-Liebermann-Haus in Berlin Mitte.
The reception was hosted by His Eminence Cardinal Reinhard Marx, Archbihop of Munich and Freising, and was attended by His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark Episcopate for the Coptic Orthodox Church, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, and Catholicose Mor Baselios Marthoma Paulose II, Catholicose of the Indian Orthodox Church.
During the reception, His Eminence welcomed their Holinesses in Germany and delivered the warm respect of the Catholic Bishops Conference to their Holinesses, and the Oriental Churches they represent, and expressed the conference’s solidarity with persecuted Christians in the Middle East.
His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II was accompanied by their Eminences Mor Philoxenus Mattias Nayis, Patriarchal Vicar in Germany, and Mor Julius Hanna Aydin Director of Foreign Affairs in the Diocese of Germany.
