His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II received His Excellency Hon. Raed Ishak, Member of the Iraqi Parliament, at the Patriarchal Residence in Atchaneh – Lebanon.
His Excellency gave an overview of the recent developments in Iraq.
His Holiness discussed with Hon. Ishak the different ways to help the suffering Christians who fled Iraq and are currently in Lebanon.
His Eminence Mor Philoxenus Matta Chamoun, as well as Very Rev. Raban Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director, attended the meeting.
