Their Holinesses our Patriarch and Pope Tawadros II Visit to His Holiness Catholicos Aram I

His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, and His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark Episcopate, visited His Holiness Catholicos Aram I of the Great House of Cilicia, at St. Mary’s Monastery in Bikfayya.

Their Holinesses raised the prayer in front of the icon of Virgin Mary at the entrance of the monastery; they then placed a rose on the memorial of the Armenian Genocide. Afterwards, they held a brotherly meeting in the monastery.

His Holiness the Catholicos thanked His Holiness our Patriarch for hosting the twelfth meeting of the Heads of the Oriental Orthodox Churches in the Middle East, and expressed his great joy to have participated in the inauguration events of the new Patriarchal Residence in Atchaneh.

His Holiness our Patriarch, in turn, thanked His Holiness the Catholicos for participating in the consecration of Mor Severus Patriarchal Church as well as in the Holy Qurobo and inauguration of the new residence. At the end of the meeting, their Holinesses exchanged gifts as token of brotherly love and respect.

His Holiness our Patriarch was accompanied by their Eminences: Mor Gregorius Saliba Chamoun, Patriarchal Advisor, and Mor Severus Abraham, Patriarchal Vicar in Kuwait, as well as Very Rev. Raban Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director.
