His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II met representatives of the Hungarian Political Parties at the Hungarian Parliament in Budapest.
The meeting was attended by His Eminence Mor Nicodemus Daoud Sharaf, Archbishop of Mosul, Kirkuk and Kurdistan, and Very Rev. Raban Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director.
During this meeting, His Holiness gave an overview of the impact of the crisis in Syria on the Syrian people. He also explained the role of the Church in the relief and development as well as providing the basics of life for many Syrian citizens.
The members of the Hungarian parliament were eager to learn about the situation in Syria and expressed their willingness to help the poor and needy through the Church associations and committees.
