His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II received His Beatitude Syriac Catholic Patriarch Mor Ignatius Youssef III Younan, at the Patriarchal Residence in Atchaneh, Lebanon. His Beatitude was accompanied by their Graces Mor Athanasius Matti Mattoka, Mor Raboula Antoine Beylouni, Mor Theophilus Philip Barakat, Archbishop of Homs, Hama, Nabak and Environs, and Rev. Fr. Habib Mrad, Patriarchal Secretary.
The meeting was also attended by 17 Metropolitans from our Church in India led by His Eminence Mor Gregorius Joseph, Metropolitan of Cochin and Secretary of the Regional Holy Synod of India, as well as His Eminence Mor Chrysostomos Mikhael Shemoun, Patriarchal Vicar for the Patriarchal Benevolent Institutions in Atchaneh.
His Beatitude expressed his support and the support of the Syriac Catholic church to the Syriac Orthodox Church of Antioch and her legitimate patriarch.
His Holiness highly valued the visit of His Beatitude and their Graces the Bishops.
