His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II visited His Excellency Mr. Jayez Al-Moussa, Governor of Hassakeh, at the Governate Headquarters in Hassakeh.
Their Eminences Mor Maurice Amsih, Archbishop of Al-Jazeerah and Euphrates, Mor Justinus Boulos Safar, Patriarchal Vicar in Zahleh and Beqaa, Mor Timotheos Matthew, Patriarchal Secretary for Indian Affairs, Very Rev. Raban Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director, and Deacon Esia Bahdi accompanied His Holiness.
His Holiness thanked His Excellency for his visit to the Archdiocesan Headquarters in Qamishly and discussed with him the current situation in Hassakeh and Qamishly.
In his turn, Governor Al-Moussa thanked His Holiness for his visit and expressed his appreciation for the positive role of the church during the crisis in the area, especially the relief and development services offered to the poor and needy.
