On the occasion of the centennial of the passing away of Patriarch Mor Ignatius Abdallah II of Sadad, the town of Sadad named a street after him. The celebration was under the auspices of His Eminence Mor Selwanos Boutros Al-Nehmeh, Archbishop of Homs, Hama and Environs and in collaboration with the town council.
Many dignitaries and public figures attended the event.
His Eminence celebrated the Holy Qurobo at Mor Barsawmo church in Sadad on the occasion of the Feast of Mor Barsawmo. Very Rev. Raban Barsawmo Kassab assisted him.
After the Holy Qurobo, His Eminence inaugurated the street and headed a walk in Mor Ignatius Abdallah II of Sadad street.
Mor Aphrem Scouts played national Syriac music during the celebration.
