In honor of his first apostolic visit to the Archdiocese of Baghdad and Basra, the Advisory Board of the Archdiocese organized an official reception for His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II. A welcoming speech was delivered by the head of the Advisory Board followed by a poem on the occasion.
A short documentary on the history of the Archdiocese was then played and His Holiness concluded the reception with a short speech during which he expressed his joy to be in the Archdiocese and his pride of the faithful who love their church and serve it with all the energy they have.
At the end of the reception, His Holiness offered His Eminence Mor Severius Hawa a pectoral cross as a token of appreciation for his service for the church for a long period of time.
