Choir Concert with Deacons and Parish Choirs – Baghdad

His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II attended a special Choir Concert organized by the deacons and choirs of the Archdiocese of Baghdad and Basra.
The choirs of the parishes of Baghdad chanted hymns and prayers in Syriac and Arabic.
Poems were also read on this occasion.
His Holiness spoke to the youth of the Archdiocese and appreciated their love and attachment ot the Church. He also encouraged them to be more involved in the public sector in Iraq, for this is a way to serve their country and become more attached to it.
At the end of the concert, His Holiness blessed the clergy and choir members, hoping that they will continue their good work.
His Holiness was accompanied by His Eminence Mor Severius Hawa, Archbishop of Baghdad and Basra, His Eminence Mor Timotheos Matta Al-Khoury, Patriarchal Secretary, His Grace Mor Maurice Amsih, Director of Public Relations and Patriarchal Delegate in Al-Jazeerah and Euphrates, and Very Rev. Raban Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director.
