His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II received Her Excellency Mrs. Isabel Rauscher, Charge d’Affaires of the Austrian Embassy in Damascus accompanied by Mr. Wolfgang Lapuh, Head of Unit of the Middle East Desk in the Austrian Interior Ministry, at the Patriarchate in Bab Touma, Damascus.
During the meeting, His Holiness discussed with his guests the recent developments in Syria.
Her Excellency was interested with the recent visit of His Holiness to Al-Qaryaten.
His Holiness explained that community-based initiatives help in restoring hope to the people who remained in Syria in staying in their country.
The meeting was attended by Very Rev. Raban Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director.
