His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II celebrated the Holy Qurobo on the occasion of the Feast of the Pentecost, at St. Mary Church in Qamishly.
He was assisted by His Eminence Mor Theophilus Georges Saliba, Archbishop of Mount Lebanon and Tripoli, and His Grace Bishop Mor George Kourieh, Dean of Mor Aphrem Theological Seminary in Maarat Saydnaya.
His Grace Bishop Mor Maurice Amsih, Patriarchal Delegate forthe Archdiocese of Al-Jazeerah and Euphrates, and the clergy of Qamishly also attended the Holy Qurobo.
In his sermon, His Holiness spoke about the talents of the Holy Spirit, Whose feast we are celebrating, especially courage to confess one’s faith in the midst of persecution. He also prayed for the martyrs of Sayfo and the martyrs of Qamishli.
