His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II received a delegation from Caritas and Cordaid headed by Ms. Simone Filippini, at the Patrairchate in Bab Touma, Damascus.
The meeting was also attended by their Eminences Mor Dionysius Jean Kawak, Patriarchal Vicar in the Eastern USA, Mor Timotheos Matta Al-Khoury, Patriarchal Vicar at the Patriarchal Archdiocese of Damascus and Very Rev. Raban Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director.
His Holiness discussed with the members of the delegation the current situation in Syria and ways to distribute help to the needy and poor.
