His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II distributed philanthropic aid to the poor in Sol Nascente, Brasilia.
He was accompanied by their Eminences Mor Titus Boulos Touza, Syriac Orthodox Apostolic Nuncio in Brazil, Mor Selwanos Boutros Al-Nehmeh, Archbishop of Homs, Hama and Environs, Mor Chrysostomos Youhanna Ghassaly, Patriarchal Vicar in Argentina, Bishop Mor Faustino Jose Filio, and Very Rev. Raban Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director, who participated also in the distribution of aid.
After the meeting with the needy, local groups of talented young people performed folklore artistic theater.
At the end of the performance, His Holiness offered a gift to Rev. Fr. Ribamar Diaz for his efforts and work in the social and cultural fields in the church.
