His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II met with the clergy of Goias.
The meeting was attended by their Eminences Mor Titus Boulos Touza, Syriac Orthodox Apostolic Nuncio in Brazil, Mor Selwanos Boutros Al-Nehmeh, Archbishop of Homs, Hama and Environs, and Bishop Mor Faustino Jose Filio as well as Rev. Fr. Rafael from the Greek Orthodox Church and the clergy from Goias as well as some clergy from other states.
His Holiness spoke to the clergy emphasizing the importance of catechism and using the church patrimony and traditions to teach believers about the doctrines of our church and its faith.
He expressed his joy to see that the missionary work is being carried on and that the social aspect of the priests’ ministry is flourishing as well.
The clergy then asked questions about the availability of the teachings of our church in Portuguese or other languages which they can use to transmit the doctrines to the faithful.
