His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II celebrated the Holy Qurobo at St. Mary Church in Curitiba.
Their Eminences Mor Titus Boulos Touza, Syriac Orthodox Apostolic Nuncio in Brazil, and Mor Selwanos Boutros Al-Nehmeh, Archbishop of Homs, Hama and Environs, assisted His Holiness in the Holy Qurobo.
During the Holy Qurobo, His Holiness ordained two Qoruye (Readers).
In his sermon, His Holiness spoke about the liturgical period that precedes the Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ. He emphasized the necessity to remember to purify our hearts from sin and to prepare our soul spiritually for the coming of the Lord.
He also spoke about ministry in the Church and how service is a way for us to be closer to God and to our neighbors.
