His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II, His Beatitude Greek Melkite Patriarch Gregorius III Lahham and His Excellency Grand Mufti of Syria Sheikh Ahmad Badr El Din Hassoun, gave a lecture at the Irish School of Ecumenics in the Trinity College in Dublin.
His Holiness spoke about the current situation in Syria and gave an overview of the extent of the crisis in Syria. He spoke about the religious fanaticism that is strange to the Syrian society in which all the Syrian people lived for centuries.
He urged the international community to promote a peaceful resolution to the crisis in Syria. He also stressed the fact that the Western Media is biased and one-sided in most of what it conveys to the public.
