His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II received His Excellency Mr. Alexander Ponomarev, Belarussian Ambassador to Syria, accompanied by His Excellency General Oleg Voinov, Assistant to the Minister of Defence in the Republic of Belarus, at the Patriarchate in Bab Touma, Damascus. His Holiness welcomed their Excellencies and the accompanying delegation. He spoke about the importance of visiting Syria at this time in order to observe what the situation is. This will help also promote the reality of the crisis and its true effect on the Syrian people.
The meeting was attended by Very Rev. Raban Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director, and Hon. Judge Abdelahad Safar.
