His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II arrives to Aleppo for an apostolic visit to celebrate the New Year with the members of the Syriac Orthodox Church there. He is accompanied by their Eminences Mor Timotheos Matta Al-Khoury, Patriarchal Vicar in the Patriarchal Archdiocese of Damascus, Mor Timotheos Matthew, Patriarchal Secretary for Indian Affairs, Very Rev. Raban Jack Yacoub, Director of the Youth Department, and Very Rev. Raban Barsom Kando.
Upon the arrival of His Holiness to Aleppo, Very Rev. Raban Boutros Kassis, Patriarchal Delegate in the Archdiocese of Aleppo welcomed him at Mor Aphrem Cathedral in Sulaymaniyya where His Holiness presided the evening prayer (Ramsho). Following the prayers, His Holiness received the clergy and members of the parish councils as well as people who meet His Holiness and receive his blessings.
