His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II met Former President of Germany M. Christian Wulff in Munich. The meeting was attended by Very Rev. Raban Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director, and Dr. Scharbil Gharib.
During the meeting, His Holiness gave an overview of the situation of Christians in the Middle East. He also spoke about the persecution that Christians are undergoing in their homeland as well as in camps in Europe.
His Holiness asked Former President Wulff to help in the case of the abducted Archbishops of Aleppo Boulos Yaziji and Mor Gregorius Youhanna Ibrahim.
