On the occasion of the Passion (Hasho) Week, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II presided over the prayer service of Tuesday Evening at Mor Jacob Baradeus Church in Jaramana.The prayer was also attended by His Eminence Mor Timotheos Matta Al-Khoury, Patriarchal Vicar at the Patriarchal Archdiocese of Damascus, the monks and deacons as well as the faithful of the parish.
In his sermon, His Holiness spoke about the Jews who conspired against Jesus and wanted to kill Him because He declared that He is the Son of God. He spoke about the priests and pharisees who refused to accept His ministry and the truth, and wanted Him dead at any price.
