A reception was given by the organizers of the World Summit in Defense of Persecuted Christians in honor of His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II on Thursday May 11, 2017 in Washington DC. The reception was also attended by the leadership of the Orthodox Delegation attending and participating in the World Summit in Defense of Persecuted Christians. His Eminence Mor Dionysius John Kawak, Patriarchal Vicar for the Archdiocese of the Eastern USA, Very Rev. Raban Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director, and Very Rev. Raban Augeen Al-Khoury Nemat.
