His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II received the Head of the Delegation of the International Committee of Red Cross in Syria, Mrs. Marianne Gasser, at the Patriarchate in Bab Touma, Damascus.
His Holiness welcomed Ms. Gasser and spoke about the different areas of health and medical assistance that the Patriarchate is currently working on as well as the people helped by the medical assistance offered by the different committees and associations of the Patriarchate.
In turn, Mrs. Gasser spoke about the work of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Syria, especially in areas that are still witnessing conflicts.
The meeting was attended by their Eminences Mor Justinus Boulos Safar, Patriarchal Vicar in Zahleh and Beqaa, Mor Timotheos Matta Al-Khoury, Patriarchal Vicar in the Patriarchal Archdiocese of Damascus, and Very Rev. Raban Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director.
