Visit of the Romanian Ambassador in Lebanon

His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II received His Excellency Mr. Victor Mircea, Ambassador of Romania in Lebanon, heading a delegation of Romanian scholars, at the Patriarchal Residence in Atchaneh.
Their Eminences: Mor Theophilus George Saliba, Archbishop of Mount Lebanon and Tripoli, Mor Malatius Malki Malki, Patriarchal Vicar in Australia and New Zealand, Mor Chrysostomos Mikhael Shemoun, Patriarchal Vicar in the Patriarchal Benevolent Institutions in Atchaneh, and Mor Barthelmaus Nathanael Youssef, Patriarchal Vicar in the United Arab Emirates and the Arabian Gulf Countries.
His Holiness spoke about the good relations that exist between Romania and the Middle East, especially on the cultural level. He hoped that further cooperation and efforts to bring closer Romania to the Middle Eastern countries.
His Excellency expressed also the deep friendship that exists between the Romanian people and the Christians of the Middle Eastern countries which is reflected in the support that they receive from Romania.
