On the occasion of the Feast of St. Peter and St. Paul, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II celebrated the Holy Qurobo at Mor Izozoel Church in Brussels. He was assisted by His Eminence Mor George Kourieh, Patriarchal Vicar in Belgium, France and Luxembourg. The clergy of the Patriarchal Vicariate also attended the Holy Qurobo.
In his sermon, His Holiness spoke about the role of the apostles in spreading the faith throughout the world and their witnessing to the resurrection of the Lord. He stressed the fact that they were guardians of the faith and preached the gospel with their words and deeds.
He also congratulated His Eminence on the second anniversary for his episcopal ordination.
After the Holy Qurobo, a reception dinner was given at St. John the Baptist church in Brussels in honor of His Holiness. The dinner was attended by His Excellency Mr. Ayman Raad, Syrian Ambassador to Brussels as well as the head of the Syrian Community in Brussels.
