His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II participated in the opening session and the panels of the Conference: “A Future for Christians in Iraq” at the European Parliament in Brussels. The Conference is organized and hosted by MEP Lars Adaktusson and the opening session was marked by the speech of Vice-President of the European Parliament Mrs. Mairead McGuinness.
His Beatitude Syriac Catholic Patriarch of Antioch Mor Ignatius Youssef III Younan also participated along with other religious and political leaders.
