His Holiness Mor Ignatius Aphrem II participated in a gathering for the Syriac Youth in Brussels. More than 200 young people participated in the gathering. Their Eminences: Mor George Kourieh, Patriarchal Vicar in Belgium, France and Luxemburg, and Mor Maurice Amsih, Archbishop of Jazeera and Euphrates also attended.
The gathering was opened by prayers; then talks were given welcoming His Holiness. The youth then had the chance to ask their questions directly to His Holiness who answered all the questions.
During the gathering, His Holiness spoke to the youth about the role of the Syriac family in bringing up the children on the faith of the church and strengthening their relation to the Church. He also spoke about the problems that the youth are facing and suggested ways to solve these problems and get closer to God and the Church.
