Later, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II visited the New Cathedral of the Nativity in the New Administrative Capital.His Holiness was accompanied by His Eminence Mor Timotheos Matta Al-Khoury, Patriarchal Vicar in the Patriarchal Archdiocese of Damascus, and in Egypt, as well as Very Rev. Raban Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director, and Very Rev. Raban Philippos Issa, Parish Priest in Egypt.
A delegation from the Coptic Orthodox Church also accompanied His Holiness. The delegation consisted of: His Eminence Anba Saweros, General Bishop and Administrator for New Monasteries for the Coptic Orthodox Church, Rev. Fr. Angelos, Papal Secretary, and Dr. Gerges Saleh, the ecumenical representative of the Coptic Orthodox Church, and Seminarians of the Coptic Orthodox Church.
His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark for the Coptic Orthodox Church, celebrated the First Holy Qurobo in the Cathedral last Christmas.
