On May 2, 2019, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II met with a delegation from St. Ephrem Patriarchal Development Committee (EPDC), at the Patriarchate Headquarters in Bab Touma – Damascus.The delegation was headed by Mr. Shadi Sarweh, Executive Director of EPDC, and consisted of workers and volunteers.
His Eminence Mor Timotheos Matta Al-Khoury, Patriarchal Vicar in the Patriarchal Archdiocese of Damascus and General Manager of EPDC, was present.
The delegation offered greetings to His Holiness on the occasion of the feast of Resurrection, and informed him about its programs and projects.
His Holiness welcomed the delegation and expressed his happiness about the great service that EPDC is providing to the Syrian Society, through the various projects and initiatives executed for the relief and development of all who are affected by the Syrian crisis.
The workers and volunteers shared with His Holiness their experiences and stories, and showed the great positive effect of EPDC on their lives, and the lives of those whom they serve.
At the end, the committee celebrated the birthday of His Eminence Mor Timotheos Matta Al-Khoury, General Manager of EPDC.
