On September 25, 2019, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II presided over a consultary meeting to discuss issues related to the unity of the Knanaya Archdiocese, at the Patriarchal Residence in Atchaneh – Lebanon.
The meeting was attended by their Eminences: Mor Theophilos George Saliba, Archbishop of Mount Lebanon and Tripoli, Mor Justinos Boulos Safar, Patriarchal Vicar in Zahleh and Bekaa, Mor Philoxenus Mattias Nayis, Patriarchal Vicar in Germany, Mor Clemis Daniel Kourieh, Archbishop of Beirut, Mor Chrysostomos Mikhael Chamoun, Patriarchal Vicar and Director of the Patriarchal Benevolent Institutions in Atchaneh, Mor Nicodemus Daoud Sharaf, Archbishop of Mosul, Kirkuk, Kurdistan and Environs, Mor Timotheos Matta Al-Khoury, Patriarchal Vicar for the Patriarchal Archdiocese of Damascus, and Very Rev. Fr. Markose Abraham, Patriarchal Secretary for Indian Affairs, and Very Rev. Raban Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director.
His Holiness and their Eminences discussed the recent developments in the issues prevailing in the Knanaya Archdiocese in order to find the suitable actions to be taken for a smooth administration of the Archdiocese.
