On September 26,2019, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II received Mr. Nasib Hatem, Coordinator of the Free Patriotic Movement, at the Patriarchal Residence in Atchaneh, Bikfaya – Lebanon. He was accompanied by Mr. Alfred Abdo and Mr. Joe Raad.
The meeting was attended by their Eminences Mor Timotheos Matta Al-Khoury, Patriarchal Vicar in the Patriarchal Archdiocese of Damascus, Mor Anthimos Jack Yakoub, Patriarchal Vicar for Youth Affairs and Christian Education, and Very Rev. Raban Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director.
During the meeting, His Holiness discussed with his guests the current situation in Lebanon, especially with regards to the rights of the Syriac Orthodox faithful in Lebanon.
