On October 14, 2019, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II received a Delegation from the Coptic Orthodox Church at the Patriarchal Residence in Atchaneh – Lebanon. The delegation included their Eminences: Anba Thomas, Bishop of Al-Qusiyya and Mir, and Anba Angelos, General Bishop of the Churches in Northern Shubra, as well as Dr. Guirguiss Saleh, Honorary General Secretary of the Middle East Council of Churches.
The meeting was attended by their Eminences: Mor Theophilos Georges Saliba, Archbishop of Mount Lebanon and Tripoli, Mor Clemis Daniel Kourieh, Archbishop of Beirut, and Very Rev. Raban Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director.
During the meeting, His Holiness welcomed the members of the standing committee and listened to the results of their recent meeting. He wished them the best in their endeavors.
In turn, the members of the committee conveyed the regards of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II and spoke about the efforts they are making to support the Oriental Orthodox Churches.
