On October 2nd, 2019, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II visited the Edessa School in Norsborg, Sweden.
His Holiness was accompanied by His Eminence Mor Polycarpus Augin Aydin, Patriarchal Vicar in Holland, and Very Rev. Raban Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director, as well as priests and deacons.
He was received by the Administrative and Academic body of the Edessa School. The pupils welcomed His Holiness with songs and hymns in Syriac.
Then, His Holiness inspected the different sections of the school and listened to the overview presented by the principal and teachers on the programs offered at the school, particularly the special care given to the Syriac language and music.
At the end of his visit, His Holiness blessed the teachers and the pupils of the Edessa School and wished them a blessed and successful academic year.
