Memorandum of Understanding between Antioch Syrian University & Pazmani Peter Catholic University

On November 27, 2019, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II attended the official ceremony of signing a memorandum of understanding between Pazmany Peter Catholic University in Hungary and Antioch Syrian University in Damascus, at the Rector’s Office of Pazmany Peter Catholic University in Budapest.
 
Dr. Rakan Razzouk, President of Antioch Syrian University, signed the memorandum and hoped that this step will strengthen the collaboration between both universities and will be the beginning of further cooperation in presenting better education for the students in Syria and Hungary.
 
His Holiness blessed this step which is the fruit of collaboration with the State Secretariat for the Aid of Persecuted Christians which is giving special attention to the university through the Patriarchate. He hoped that it will bring about further advances and that it will be an opportunity to work on establishing institutes of specialized studies.
 
Their Eminences Archbishops: Mor Justinos Boulos Safar, Patriarchal Vicar in Zahleh and Beqaa, Mor Nicodemus Daoud Sharaf, Archbishop of Mosul, Kirkuk, Kurdistan and Environs, and Very Rev. Raban Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director also attended.
