Inspection of Damage at the Archdiocese of Mount Lebanon

On August 6, 2020, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II visited the headquarters of the Archdiocese of Mount Lebanon and Tripoli, where His Eminence Mor Theophilus George Saliba, Archbishop of Mount Lebanon and Tripoli, and the clergy of the Archdiocese received His Holiness.
His Eminence thanked His Holiness for communicating with him to check on him and the archdiocese following the blast that took place in Beirut Port last Tuesday. His Eminence presented to His Holiness the damage that happened in the churches and institutions of the Archdiocese. His Holiness inspected the premises of the Archdiocesan headquarters as well as St. Jacob of Serugh Cathedral where he examined the material loss. He then visited Tarakki School (TMS) in Bourj Hammoud where he checked the destruction that took place as a result of the blast. At St. Mary’s church in Bourj Hammoud, His Holiness prayed the service of the Virgin Mary and the service of the saints after inspecting the harmed premises.
His Holiness was accompanied by Very Rev. Raban Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director, and Very Rev. Raban Cyril Babi, Director of the Legal Department.
