On February 25, 2021, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II participated in the online meeting of the Executive Committee of the MECC.

After the opening prayer, the participants discussed matters related to the MECC and the churches in the Middle East. They also discussed ways of improving the ministry of the MECC and its witness in the different societies in the region.

Very Rev. Raban Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director, and Mr. Adel Syryany, the Associate General Secretary of MECC for the Oriental Orthodox Churches Family, also participated in the meeting.
