On February 9, 2021, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II received Her Excellency Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy of Sweden in Syria Ms. Ann Dismorr, at the Patriarchate Headquarters in Bab Touma, Damascus.

Very Rev. Raban Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director was also present in the meeting.

His Holiness discussed with Her Excellency the current situation in Syria and the Middle East. They also spoke about the cooperation between the Syriac Orthodox Church and the Embassy of Sweden in order to offer humanitarian aid to the needy though the different programs and projects.
