Visit of Mor Timotheos Matta Al-Khoury and a Delegation of Clergy

On March 16, 2021, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II received His Eminence Mor Timotheos Matta Al-Khoury, Archbishop of Homs, Hama, Tartous and Environs, accompanied by a delegation from the clergy of the Archdiocese, at Mor Aphrem Monastery in Maarat Saydnaya.
The meeting was also attended by His Eminence Archbishop Mor Yacoub Babawi, Patriarchal Vicar for Monks Affairs and Administration of Mor Aphrem Theological Seminary in Maarat Saydnaya.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Holiness welcomed the priests who thanked him for his support for the Archdiocese especially during the critical period when the late Mor Selwanos Boutros Al-Nehmeh was sick and following his departure. They always expressed their gratitude to His Holiness for presiding over the installation of the new Archbishop Mor Timotheos Matta Al-Khoury.
His Eminence Mor Timotheos Matta Al-Khoury spoke about the services offered in the Archdiocese. He also reported on the recent spiritual retreat that His Eminence and the clergy had before the begining of Lent. He gave a brief overview on the spiritual activities as well as developmental projects on the Archdiocese.
At the end of the meeting, the priests received the blessings of His Holiness and his various instructions for their ministry.
