Very Rev. Raban Dr. Joseph Bali Archbishop, Patriarchal Secretary

His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II nominated Very Rev. Raban Raban Joseph Bali to be Archbishop Patriarchal Secretary. Having received the votes of their Eminences Archbishops members of the Holy Synod, His Holiness will consecrate Very Rev. Joseph Bali Archbishop Patriarchal Secretary at St. Mary’s Church at the Patriarchal Residence in Atchaneh, on Friday June 25, 2021 at 5 pm.
Very Rev. Raban Joseph Bali was born in Beirut – Lebanon in 1983. He studied Physics at the American University of Beirut and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 2004. He pursued his education at the same university and graduated with a Masters in Philosophy in 2007. He joined Mor Aphrem Theological Seminary in Maarat Saydnaya in the same year. He was tonsured monk in July 2008, ordained priest in July 2011, and decorated with the pectoral cross in 2013. In 2015, His Holiness appointed him as Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director at the Patriarchate. He received a Ph.D. in Philosophy in 2019 with high distinction. He is the editor of the Patriarchal Magazine (the news journal) since 2015. He also prepares and publishes news about the activities and programs on the website of the Patriarchate and the social media accounts, as well as supervising the weekly newsletter of the Patriarchate.
