On July 13, 2021, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II opened the new Al-Nehmeh Center for the production of the artificial prostheses which is affiliated to the Archdiocese.

His Excellency Mr. Bassam, Governor of Homs and General Abdo Karam, Head of the Police of Homs, participated in the opening along with their Eminences: Mor Timotheos Matta Al-Khoury, Archbishop of Homs, Hama, Tartous and Environs, and Mor Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary.
