On July 13, 2021, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II visited the headquarters of Um Alzunar Relief and Development Center (URDC) in Homs.

His Excellency Mr. Bassam, Governor of Homs and General Abdo Karam, Head of the Police of Homs, accompanied His Holiness along with their Eminences: Mor Timotheos Matta Al-Khoury, Archbishop of Homs, Hama, Tartous and Environs, and Mor Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary.
