On 21 September 2021, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II visited St. Kuryakos Church in Norrköping, Sweden.His Holiness was accompanied by their Eminences Archbishops: Mor Dioscorus Benjamin Atas, Patriarchal Vicar in Sweden, Mor Dionysius Issa Gurbuz, Patriarchal Vicar in Switzerland and Austria, Mor Philoxenus Mattias Nayis, Patriarchal Vicar in Germany, Mor Polycarpus Augin Aydin, Patriarchal Vicar in Holland, and Mor Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director.His Eminence Mor Dioscoros Benjamin Atas welcomed His Holiness into this spiritual occasion in Mor Kuryakos parish.In his speech, His Holiness encouraged the community to preserve the traditions of the Syriac Orthodox Church and its language. He spoke about the challenges that our people face in the west and emphasized that we should seize the opportunity and learn what is beneficial for our growth and development. At the end, His Holiness blessed the parishioners and prayed for their health.
