On 20 September 2021, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II visited St. Touma Church in Sodertalje, Sweden and presided over the ramsho prayer.His Holiness was accompanied by their Eminences Archbishops: Mor Dioscorus Benjamin Atas, Patriarchal Vicar in Sweden, Mor Dionysius Issa Gurbuz, Patriarchal Vicar in Switzerland and Austria, Mor Philoxenus Mattias Nayis, Patriarchal Vicar in Germany, Mor Julius Hanna Aydin, Director of the Foreign Relations in Germany, Mor Polycarpus Augin Aydin, Patriarchal Vicar in Holland, Mor Titus Boulos Touza, Apostolic Nuncio for Syriac Missions in Brazil, and Mor Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director.In his speech, His Holiness expressed his joy to be in this visit, thanking the Lord for his blessings and congratulating the parishioners of Mor Touma Church on their new altar. He pointed out that the church is the place where we meet the Lord Jesus Christ who is the refuge to all who need Him. His Holiness assured that the Church will not be shaken for Christ is in her midst and the gates of hell shall not prevail. He added that the church is the house we go to when we seek the spiritual nurishment that does not end. With this spiritual food, the spirit is kept alove in Christ and the Church becomes truly the port of salvation and serenity to all. At the end of the prayer service, His Holiness blessed the parishioners and prayed for the health of all.
