On October 16, 2021, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II received His Excellency Mr. Muhammad Tarek Kreshati, Governor of Hama, at St. Jacob of Serugh Church. His Excellency MP Mr. Maher Qawarma and Secretary of the Baath Party Mr. Ashraf Bashouri were also present. His Excellency Nicolas Baalbaki, Greek Orthodox Metropolitan of Hama, Rev. Fr. Alexander Al-Turk, Syriac Catholic Priest in Hama, and Rev. Maan Bitar, Evangelical Pastor in Sqelbiyyeh, also came to welcome His Holiness during his visit to Hama.Their Eminences Archbishops: Mor Timotheos Matta Al-Khoury, Archbishop of Homs, Hama, Tartous and Environs, and Mor Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary, and the clergy of the Archdiocese attended the reception.
