On October 6, 2021, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II received His Excellency Mr. Mauricio Alice, Ambassador of Argentina in Lebanon, at the Patriarchal Residence in Atchaneh. Their Eminences Archbishops: Mor Theophilus Georges Saliba, Archbishop of Mount Lebanon and Tripoli, and Mor Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director.During the meeting, His Holiness spoke with His Excellency about the history of the Syriac Orthodox Church and its presence throughout the world. They discussed the current situation in Lebanon and the region. His Holiness gave an overview of the ministries offered by the Patriarchate. He spoke about the effects of the crisis on the Lebanese people. In turn, His Excellency assured that Argentina supports the people of Lebanon.
